iPhone/iPad Setup
- Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account
- Name is full name to appear on email
- Email is full email address, including domain (userid@pcisys.net, for example)
- Password is your email address password
- Description is the description to display on your iPhone
- Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.
- If Mail can't find your email settings, you need to enter them manually. After you enter your email address and password, tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP for your new account. IMAP is best for multiple devices checking the same account. POP is the older standard where email is downloaded and then removed from PCI's server.
- Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- Host Name: mail.pcisys.net
- User Name: your full PCI email address
- Password: Email address password
- If your email settings are correct, tap Save to finish. If the email settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to edit them.
If you see a warning like "Cannot Verify Server Identity", please click on Details. You will then see the details for the certificate in use. Make sure to select to trust the certificate
- If you set up the IMAP mail account on your iPhone, you may not find the IMAP folders in your Inbox folder.
If this is the case, you'll need to specify the IMAP path prefix. This was generally a problem with older iPhone software.
- You can enter in the IMAP path prefix by going to Settings > Mail > Account > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix.
- Enter the word "INBOX" (use all caps) and save the setting. Now, your folders should appear as subfolders in the Inbox.
